This week, Rev. Mari begins a new series, The Gifts of Imperfection, based on the book by Brene’ Brown. This is one of Ms. Brown’s early books, one that the Minister’s Book Study did a couple of years ago. It came to my mind when I was talking with one of my daughters about the topic of “perfectionism.” So, of course, what do you think the first weeks study will be on? Letting Go of Perfectionism. Join your spiritual community in the Chapel at 10 AM (with all Covid-19 recommendations in place, including wearing your mask while inside, except when eating or drinking), or watch us live stream on Facebook. The service is then posted on our website: unitycenterinmilwaukee.com.
KEVIN REGER, Unity’s own poet laureate, will be our musical guest this Sunday, August 16th. Kevin is gifted at making Truth principles easy to grasp and ‘own’ through his music. Be on hand to celebrate with your spiritual family, either in the Chapel at 10 AM, or via Live Stream on our fb site, or the Web site, unitycenterinmilwaukee.com.

So, while you are not able to be at the Center, at least we will get to see you, and you will see others, and the face to face connection will help us. Please contact the Center 414 475-0105, or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) us your email address so we can send you an invitation to join.
Pause for Prayer: Rev. Mari suggests we all join in a prayer pause many Unity Centers around the world are now using. Wherever you are, at 12 noon, stop for a minute or two and bless Unity, our community, our state, our country, the world, etc. This is a powerful practice of uniting the energy of millions of people around the world. We began this process on Sunday, and invite you to join in today

We’re turning corners, passed tipping points, and are evolving through old stories. With so much challenge and change, it’s easy to feel anxious, helpless, exhausted, dis-empowered. In this brief talk, Emily will review a few principles from the “7 Sacred Choices of the Hero’s Journey”, and blend it with the process of transformation, to answer the questions “How do I move forward?” and “Where is my Hero in this process?
Please sign up on Sunday, or call the office to make sure you are counted in the number for the class. Due to social distancing, we may need to move the class to a larger space. Suggested donation: $10.00. We will also be doing a live-stream of the class, which will be available afterwards on our web site: unitycenterinmilwaukee.com
REMAINING COVID-19 FREE AND SAFE is our mission and goal for our entire community. Did you know that every inch of our used space is thoroughly cleaned each Sunday after services? If you have any living plants or bulbs to donate, we would be most grateful.
KIDS CORNER is our “something new has been added”! We have a tab at the top of the web page, labeled Kids Corner. If you click on this tab, you will find stories, animal videos and more.
